2006 Outstanding Communications Award

The Greater Panama City Beaches Chamber of Commerce was recognized for its outstanding chamber news magazine – The Circuit – by the Florida Association of Chamber Professionals (FACP) at the organization’s 87th annual conference last week in Sarasota. The Bay County Chamber was recognized for its outstanding membership recruitment publication at the same conference. Both chambers received awards from FACP chairman Mike Horner, president of the Kissimmee-Osceola County Chamber. The awards were sponsored by NationJob Network.

Each year chambers are recognized for communications excellence in the categories of membership directory, visitor guide, marketing brochure, website, newsletter and membership recruitment package. FACP is the recognized professional and organizational development association for chambers and chamber professionals in the state.

2005 Outstanding Communications Award

The Panama City Beaches Chamber of Commerce received the 2005 Outstanding Communications Award for its Tourism & Visitor Guide by the Florida Association of Chamber Professionals at the organization's 86th annual conference in Orlando in late July. FACP Chairman Don Dalton presented the award to President Debi Knight and six of her staff. Panama City Beaches Chamber of Commerce
named 2003 Chamber of the Year

Debi Knight, President of the Panama City Beaches Chamber of Commerce was named Florida's 2003 Chamber Professional of the Year by the Florida Association of Chamber Professionals. The prestigious award was presented to Knight by FACP Chairman of the Board and President of the St. Petersburg Area Chamber Russ Sloan at a gathering of over 100 professionals from across the state during the organization's annual meeting in Orlando. The award is presented to a chamber professional for outstanding accomplishments at their chamber. Selection criteria include finances, communications, legislative action, membership services, and community services. An impressive panel made up of leaders in the chamber profession makes the selection. Under Knight's leadership, the Chamber has enjoyed unprecedented success in the growth of the chamber and community. Knight has been at the helm of the Chamber since 1992. The Panama City Beaches Chamber of Commerce was named the 2003 Chamber of the Year by the Florida Association of Chamber Professionals at its 84th Annual Leadership Conference at the Renaissance Resort in Orlando, Florida. Chamber of the Year is the highest recognition a chamber can receive in Florida. Competition for the award is always fierce and the standards extremely high. An impressive panel made up of leaders in the chamber profession makes the selection. Debi Knight, President of the Beaches Chamber said,...
