    We are looking for a courteous, customer service driven, enthusiastic, ambitious, energetic, inspired, ego-free, and ‘open for business’ type Controller to join our Executive Committee. The successful candidate will be responsible to provide the Owner, Chief Operating Officer/President and the Executive Committee with accurate, timely and relevant data with which to manage the properties.

    Position Summary:
    The Controller will supervise and direct all financial activities of the hotel, safeguarding assets, preparing all financial reports, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls and accounting procedures of the company. The Controller will be responsible for all internal financial reporting requirements and all external financial reporting requirements and ensure compliance with all tax requirements. The Controller will lead the accounting department and report directly to the Chief Operating Officer/President.

    Position Responsibilities:
    • Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, auditing and payroll.
    • Responsible for oversight of all accounting policies, procedures and internal controls within the accounting department.
    • Analyze financial data of operations, advise and assist in maintaining an efficient operation.
    • Monitor, forecast and report all cash flow activity on a daily and monthly basis.
    • Coordinate and direct the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
    • Coordinate with executive managers and department managers for preparation of financial budgets and forecast.
    • Ensure company banking accounts are efficiently utilized to ensure optimum cash flow, including monitoring daily cash balances and cash forecasting process.
    • Review and manage inventory levels to minimize working capital requirements but also meet operational needs to ensure guest satisfaction.
    • Oversee contracts and legal agreements and assist in maintaining licenses, permits, insurance and contracts.
    • Responsible for all budgeting, financial forecasting and report variance analysis.
    • Maintain compliance with all local, state and federal laws and regulations.
    • Work closely with every department manager.

    Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
    • 4-5 years of relevant financial experience preferably in the hospitality industry
    • Expert knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
    • Advanced Excel skills
    • QuickBooks experience preferred.
