Andrew Levy Appointed Chair of the Millaway Institute at GCS

Andrew B. Levy, Harrison Sale McCloy Attorneys at Law Partner and Chair of the Firm’s Business and Commercial Law Group, has been appointed chair of The Millaway institute of Entrepreneurship at Gulf Coast State College.

“We have a diverse representation of ideas being developed at the Millaway Institute that will spur additional growth of industry and bring additional employment opportunities for Northwest Florida. We engage, encourage, create, incubate, then introduce into our global marketplace products and services that will expand and build the economic stature of community,” stated Levy. “Our board members, stakeholders, educators and key staff are fostering these innovative ideas for our future.”

The Millaway Institute for Entrepreneurship (MIE) is a commercial and social accelerator that supports a collegiate community of innovators and aspiring entrepreneurs. This environment engages entrepreneurs as they transform ideas into commercial products, services and businesses.

Steve Dunnivant, Executive Director Millaway Institute for Entrepreneurship at Gulf Coast State College outlines, “The college looks forward to Mr. Levy’s knowledge and skills contributing to the success of the institute. His background in intellectual property and entrepreneurship will serve this project and our community well.”

Levy brings commercial experience and serves as legal counsel for a number of businesses that operate within Northwest Florida and also, nationwide. He is the legal counsel for Crown Imports, LLC which is the third largest beer company in the U.S. He is currently serving as chairman of the Bay County Chamber of Commerce is a former chair of the Business Innovations Center of Northwest Florida and has served as a presenter and judge for the annual Startup Weekend entrepreneurial events hosted in Panama City.
