The Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce’s celebratory Annual Awards Dinner was truly a night of recognition as it honored six outstanding Beach Chamber members. On Thursday, February 23, 2017, at Edgewater Beach & Golf Resort, the event was themed “An Evening Under the Stars.” The Beach Chamber would like to thank the Presenting Sponsor Noble Public Adjusting Group; the Premier Sponsor Edgewater Beach & Golf Resort; the Platinum Sponsors Visit Panama City Beach, Community Bank, and REEDS Jewelers; and the Photobooth Sponsors Beachy Beach Real Estate and Centennial Bank.
This prestigious event recognized local citizens for their dedication and accomplishments in the community and with the Beach Chamber.
The Past Chairman’s Award was given to 2016 Chairman of the Board, Jayna Leach of Visit Panama City Beach, for her dedicated service and commitment to leading the Beach Chamber.
This year’s Young Professional of the Year Award went to the Marketing Manager of Resort Collection, Catherine Collins. Catherine’s commitment to her role as a young professional in our community has made a difference to the Beach Chamber.
This year’s Jean L. Schaffer Ambassador of the Year Award winner, Talena Grawburg of ServPro Bay County, is that and more. Whether it be attending ribbon cuttings and grand openings, or serving on many committees, she goes above and beyond for our chamber. She is not only a great asset to the chamber, but also equally valuable to the community.
Bo Williamson of Noble Public Adjusting Group won the Business Excellence Award for his outstanding performance through innovation, growth, and contributions to the community and to the Beach Chamber.
Our Humanitarian of the Year award was given to Jimy Thorpe with A Superior Air Conditioning for his generosity and commitment to helping others in our community, especially our local veterans.
This year’s Pioneer of the Year Award was given to Dan Rowe of Visit Panama City Beach. A Pioneer initiates, takes the lead, prepares the way, and participates in the development of a region. Dan’s leadership, vision, and contributions to our community has helped accomplish much success in our area.
