On Thursday, July 29 a press conference was held for the signing and donation of the Beach Chamber’s Endowed Scholarship for Florida State University-Panama City. A check for $5,000 was presented to FSU-PC, with more money to be donated to the scholarship in an ongoing basis as funds continue to be raised for the Chamber’s newly formed 501-C3, “Panama City Beach Education Fund, Inc.” This fund has already grown from a generous ongoing contribution in the past 18 months from Gary Martin of Vision Payment Solutions, as well as proceeds from Chamber events such as the annual Business Expo, the upcoming Poker Tournament on August 19 at Ebro, and the upcoming Beach Chamber Golf Classic on October 15 at Hombre Golf Club. We are so very proud of the hard work of our chairman Griff Griffitts, Education Partnership committee chairperson Lisa Adams, the Beach Chamber’s Board of Directors and generous members of the Panama City Beach Chamber.
