The Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce will hosted its celebratory Annual Awards Dinner on Thursday, February 21, 2013, with the theme “Fire & Ice.” This night of celebration took place at Edgewater Beach & Golf Resort from 6:00 PM until 9:30 PM.
This prestigious recognized Beach Chamber members for their dedication and accomplishments in the community and with the chamber. The award winners included Paul Wohlford, 2012 Past Chairman; Mary Beth Lovingood, HYPE Member of the Year; Marsha Duvall, Ambassador of the Year; Dr. Tara Griffin, Small Business Person of the Year; Felicia Cook, Humanitarian of the Year; Lou and Bea Alessandrini, Lifetime Achievement Award; and the prestigious award winner of the night, Jack Bishop, as the Pioneer of the Year. Mr. Bishop has had a major impact on our community and has helped grow Panama City Beach into the tourist and business destination it is today. Congratulations to all of our well-deserving award winners.
The musical talent of Abigail Rose was the evening’s entertainment. Abigail is a musician and songwriter from Nashville, TN, who has opened for artists such as Sara Evans, Florida Georgia Line, Josh Thompson, and Joe Nichols. She has performed with Big and Rich, The Peach Pickers, Lynyrd Skynyrd , Kristen Kelly and others. Her soulful voice and energy on stage are sure to bring Beach Chamber members a captivating performance.
