Jimmy Patronis Named Florida’s Chief Financial Officer

The Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce congratulates Jimmy Patronis on being named Florida’s Chief Financial Officer. Patronis is a Florida leader focused on making Florida more competitive, and he is dedicated to securing Florida’s future.

Governor Scott will officially announce he’s appointing Patronis to replace Jeff Atwater, who is resigning from the job before his term is over to become a vice president at Florida Atlantic University.

“Jimmy Patronis has proudly served and represented the people of Northwest Florida for many years. I cannot think of a more deserving and hard working individual for the State CFO position. Our state’s future is in great hands and I wish him the best of luck,” said Kristopher McLane, President/CEO, Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce.

During his public service as a member of the Florida House of Representatives, Patronis was an advocate of pro-business, pro-jobs legislation and routinely scored perfect 100-A letter grades on the Florida Chamber’s Legislative Report Card. Patronis, and his family’s small business, Captain Anderson’s Restaurant, have been long-time members of the Panama City Beach Chamber.
