Millaway Institute for Entrepreneurship Open House

Millaway Institute for Entrepreneurship Open House

Have you ever had that spark of an idea for a great product or service, but didn’t know where to find help getting that idea off the ground? Aspiring or practicing entrepreneurs won’t have to look very far, as the community will have a new starting point for anyone with an entrepreneurial spirit. Gulf Coast State College is proud to announce the opening of the Millaway Institute for Entrepreneurship with an open house on Thursday, May 28, from 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Meet local entrepreneurial successes at the event and see how the Millaway Institute for Entrepreneurship (MIE) helped bring their ideas to reality. The MIE was created specifically to assist innovators in our community and help transform their ideas into commercial products, services and companies. As the nation’s only “pledge model” fabrication and design space, the Millaway Institute will assist you, for little or no cost, in the next steps for your ideas, businesses or start-up ventures. It also links real-world entrepreneurs with GCSC students in the fields of business, technology and engineering.

The MIE also hosts a series of workshops, allowing you to connect with hundreds of fellow innovators as you acquire specific skills in seeking venture capital, crowd-source funding, Arduinos, 3D fabrication and much more. The Institute’s Fab Lab offers unprecedented resources for 3D printing and fabrication of products in metal, wood or a variety of plastics.

Please join us as we launch these valuable resources for entrepreneurs and our community. The event is free and open to everyone.
