Why Move To PCB

Relocating to Panama City Beach/Bay County

This is an exciting time for The World’s Most Beautiful Beaches. Forecasted by CNN.com’s Money Magazine as the top city for the fastest growth in the nation, Panama City Beach is undergoing unprecedented growth and development.

A new skyline of distinctive architecture fills the horizon, from classic seaside bungalows to sleek Caribbean-style resorts. New restaurants, museums, theaters, galleries and boutiques are arriving on the scene daily. Pier Park, the “New Downtown Panama City Beach,” opened in early 2008.

Great news! Traveling to Panama City Beach is easy and affordable because of our Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport!

The renovation of Front Beach Road has brought sidewalks, bike paths, tropical landscaping, a public trolley system and a fresh new look to the beach. The Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport offers travel channels throughout the U.S., Europe and Asia, making Panama City Beach one of the most sought-after travel destinations in the world.

The quality of education is very important to families moving to a new city. The Bay District School System is committed to educational excellence, and is making great strides in becoming a national leader in education. In 2008, the Florida Department of Education ranked Bay District Schools in the top 25% of all public school districts in Florida, ranking 16th overall out of 67 districts in the state. Our district is serving approximately 28,500 students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12. Two colleges also reside in Bay County–Gulf Coast State College and Florida State University-Panama City. You can visit Bay Districts Schools web site for additional information by going to www.bay.k12.fl.us.
