Posted on: November 3, 2014
The Panama City Beach Seafood and Music Festival included many waterfront activities such as:
Kids’ Fishing Clinic & Dockside Fishing Experience – Several stations will be set up to teach about all aspects of fishing—from tying knots to baiting hooks—and about keeping the waterways and ecosystem clean. Then there are 10 additional stations along the dock under the Grand Lagoon Bridge where the kids can actually go fishing! All gear, bait, and instruction provided for 15-minute intervals.
Bay County Fishing Heritage Exhibition – You won’t want to miss any of the fun and adventure found throughout the waterfront tent area: Old Salt’s Storytelling; gill net/seine net demonstrations; diving history, rod tying demonstration; historical pictures with educational displays; Patronis Elementary School “Fish Art” Exhibition; and Capt. Anderson’s PC Marina to PCB Grand Lagoon History.
Kids’ Waterfront Activities – Crab races, fighting chair pull, face painting, shell painting, fish prints, treasure hunt, and more!
Waterfront Market and Anderson’s Seafood Market – Crafts and activities for all ages, and fresh seafood and accompaniments available for purchase to eat on the spot or take home!
