Construction Superintendent
This position is responsible for coordination for all phases of rebuild and new construction projects, including coordinating subcontractors, materials and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. Superintendent shall be responsible for scheduling, inspections, quality control, training, job safety and ensuring that the project is constructed in strict accordance with the plans, specifications, and local codes.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Schedule and supervise subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion
Ensure permits have been properly applied for and received, may also assist in procedure
Search and secure subcontractors to perform work needed on the project
Assisting Estimator with any details regarding estimate of project
Communicate with client and establish a positive relationship
Constant review of budget and invoicing to ensure project is on budget and invoices are accurate
Work closely with the Accounting Department to ensure invoices are accurate for payment to subcontractors
Oversee all aspects of construction work performed
Managing and scheduling all project inspections and assuring a “Passed” status and documentation
Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding work performed
Constant communication with client regarding status of project, budget and estimate
Identify conflicts or problems in construction process and communicate them to Supervisor
Maintain records, logs, (written), or use of specific software of activities on the project sites
Perform Superintendent duties at multiple projects
Gather project material submittals and maintain records of approvals at the project sites
Attend weekly department meetings to discuss status of projects
Ensure project site is well maintained and cleaned daily
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
High School diploma or GED equivalent
5 or more years experience as Superintendent in field or related
Provide direction to and resolve problems amongst 10+ subcontractors and vendors
Ability to identify deficient work and provide resolutions
Read blueprints
Physically lift up to 100 lbs.
Endurance and ability to visit entire project site, including stairs or other elevated structures
Monitoring project site health, safety, and appearance
Tact and finesse in dealing with difficult or emotional clients; responds promptly to clients needs
Must be organized

Must possess excellent communication skills

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20,000.00 – $200,000.00 per year
Schedule:
10 Hour Shift, 12 Hour Shift, 8 Hour Shift, Day Shift, Holidays, Monday to Friday, Night Shift, On Call, Overtime, Weekends
Experience:
Communication Skills: 5 years (Preferred)
Construction: 5 years (Preferred)
Leadership: 5 years (Preferred)
