    Public insurance adjusting firm seeking sharp office personnel. In house training provided, we aren’t looking for a person who is already trained, but one that is trainable and compatible with our firm. We have a very company specific software for insurance claims processing that we work with.

    Duties (including but not limited to):
    -Handle claims throughout their duration. Includes, but not limited to calling property owners, insurance companies, contractors, independent adjusters, etc.
    -Answering emails and pushing claims through to the next step until closed out
    -Answering office phone calls
    -Updating software system with notes and steps taken on claims, every day, all day
    -Keeping your desk/office clean and organized
    -Maintaining a professional demeanor and attitude at all times
    -Attending some networking events (Ex: Chamber awards night dinner)


    Licensing: Florida Insurance Adjuster license is a plus and Public Adjusting license a double plus, but not required. Must have drivers license or permit to drive to work. Willing to work with person on getting their adjusters license.

    Education: Bachelors degree preferred, but not required. Associates degree needed or aptitude testing.

    Work History: Insurance or Claims experience a plus, but not required. Experience with customer service a definite plus, as you will be required to deal with home and business owners about their insurance claims. Must have some computer experience and will need to be computer literate to complete duties associated with this position.

    -Business Casual Attire (IRONED button up shirts and slacks/khakis, w/dress shoes for men)
    (Ironed blouses and skirts or dress pants and dress shoes/heels for women) No Jeans, and NO flip-flops

    -Must be able to handle confrontation. We deal with confrontational Insurance personnel all day in an attempt to regain what they have taken from the property owner and you absolutely must be able to remain calm and professional when they are rude and even tell fibs.
    -Professionally Aggressive- Able to be assertive and yet still maintain a professional conversation
    -Typing and Computer literate (must be able to learn how to use software systems)
    -Communication skills (must speak proper English and be well read in order to communicate with ease with staff, clients, and Insurance companies)
    -Spelling and Grammar or ability to use spell check or other revising app. (Half of our work is through written communication. It must be grammatically correct with proper spelling. All of our documentation and communications are legal documents and must reflect such.)

    -People who are unprofessional, lazy, cannot follow directions,have a bad temper or who bring their problems to work
