    Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce

    The Director of Marketing and Events oversees the implementation of all events for the Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce. The Director will also coordinate marketing and sponsorship materials along with the Director of Communications & Design and the VP, Director of Membership in order to increase and retain membership participation. This position reports to the President/CEO.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: (Include, but not limited to)
    -Plan assigned events and programs of the Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce
    -Develop and maintain all aspects of the event including but not limited to: logistics, registration, and ensuring the successful accomplishment of the budgets and goals of each event and program
    -Travel to and from event venues for setup and meetings pre and post event (if necessary)
    -Supervise, direct and coordinate all staff as required to successfully execute all aspects of the event
    -Assist in the coordination and preparation of sponsorship proposals
    -Work closely with various committee chairs and committee members that may be related to each event
    -Advocate for the values, principles, and approaches set forth in our Chamber mission and vision statement

    DELIVERY:
    -Represent and deliver service excellence that is in keeping with the Chamber’s brand
    -Ensure that all members are aware of the benefits derived from chamber Membership
    -Ensure that high caliber materials are produced and delivered consistently

    DESIGN:
    -Partner with the President/CEO to define event goals, objectives and specific implementation plans of scheduled events
    -Design and prepare marketing materials as necessary for Chamber media and social media channels

    OPERATIONS & COMMUNICATION:
    -Communicate event details, logistics, and setup to all required parties involved with event
    -Post and maintain event information on Chamber website, social media, and eblasts
    -Respond to inquiries quickly and accurately
    -Complete daily administrative tasks quickly and accurately (event reports, e-mail, phone, etc.)

    *Ability to lift event supplies and objects over 15lbs. required. Additional responsibilities and duties may be assigned by the President/CEO.
