3rd Annual Arts Alive Event Set For April 5

Bay Education Foundation and Panhandle Educators Federal Credit Union invite the community to Arts Alive on April 5, 2013, at Edgewater Beach Resort. Created to support fine arts in education, Arts Alive is a talent showcase that supports the fine arts in Bay District Schools and the Bay Education Foundation Take Stock in Children Program.

Arts Alive will feature an art exhibit and top-notch silent auction during the champagne reception. A delicious three-course dinner and performing arts showcase will round out the evening. Included in an amazing array of talent – comprising of dancing, singing and piano performances – several Take Stock in Children scholarship recipients will perform for the showcase.

“This is the best charity dinner you will ever attend. There will be great food and drink, stellar entertainment and no speeches,” said Beth Deluzain, executive director for the Bay Education Foundation. “In additional to having a great time, attendees will enjoy knowing that their donation will impact more than 12,000 students in Bay County next year.”

Funds raised from previous Arts Alive events have impacted Bay District Schools in a big way. Through the Take Stock in Children program, Arts Alive has been able to purchase eight, four-year college scholarships and provide additional support to children in need. In addition, the event has created 76 classroom grants for projects ranging from theatrical productions to music theory to sculpture to learning basic skills through art projects.

Tickets for Arts Alive are $125 each ($1,000 per table) and may be purchased by calling 850.767.4111 or e-mailing kessljf@bay.k12.fl.us. Advanced reservations are required.
