Beach Chamber Awards FSU-PC & GCSC Scholarships

On Wednesday, August 15, 2012, the Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce ‘s Board of Directors and Education Partnership Committee presented its Gulf Coast State College Foundation Scholarship to recipient, Brian Hague, and its Florida State University Panama City Foundation Scholarship to recipient, Stephanie Garrett. The Foundation Scholarships are awarded to a student enrolled at GSCS or FSU PC who has maintained a 3.0 GPA.
Brain Hague is a local graduate from Arnold High School, where he was very active in honors societies and various school clubs. Mr. Hague beat out hundreds of applicants for the GCSC Foundations Scholarship with his outstanding GPA and academic accomplishments. He plans to use the scholarship to be able to take heavier course loads in order to double-major in Culinary Management and Computer Science. Stephanie Garrett is a full-time student at FSU PC as well as a full-time parent. She has maintained a high GPA and, with help of her scholarship, plans to finish her degree in Social Science and apply for her Masters upon graduation.
The Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce and its Education Partnership Committee work diligently throughout the year to contribute to our education scholarships for Gulf Coast State College and Florida State University Panama City. The Beach Chamber is passionate about contributing to the education of our future generations and will continue to do so in years to come.
