Beach Chamber Partners With Southwest Airlines

The Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce its new partnership with Southwest Airlines. Under this new partnership that began on August 1, 2011, Southwest Airlines is the Presenting Sponsor for the Beach Chamber’s monthly Lunch & Learn workshops, produced by Navigator, the Chamber’s small business initiative.

For the past two years, Navigator has carefully crafted a schedule of workshops for its members and members of the community to learn, discover, sharpen skills and become conscious of new trends in business. The workshops’ broad subject base ranges from technology and social media to effective leadership, networking, business etiquette and sharpening time management skills. “Navigator’s mission is to provide support for and promote the small business interests of our membership,” said Navigator Chairman Karen Blackerby. “Our goal is to provide programs specifically for small business leaders and individuals in our community that will enhance their lives.”

Alison Hoefler, Southwest Airlines Manager of Community Affairs & Grassroots, visited the Panama City Beach Chamber in May of 2011 following the airport’s first anniversary recognition luncheon, and upon learning of Navigator’s extensive aspirations, immediately felt a synergy. “Southwest Airlines’ Community Affairs & Grassroots Team endeavors to support the communities and the good works that make a meaningful difference in the cities we serve,” she explained. “We proudly partner with organizations that are helping shape our communities all across America, and we strive to make a positive difference in these communities. When we serve together, everyone soars.”

As part of this sponsorship, beginning on August 25, Southwest will raffle off one round-trip ticket, good for anywhere that Southwest flies, at every workshop – a value of $400. For more information, please contact Catherine Collins at the Beach Chamber, at (850) 235-1159.
