Gulf World Marine Park is proud to announce that two of their invaluable employees have accepted new positions on the executive team. Recently, Pamela George and Secret Holmes-Douglas were promoted and have taken on greater responsibilities in their new roles.

Pam George has been promoted to the General Manger of Gulf World Marine Park. Pam started her career at Gulf World as the Marketing Director. After a couple of years she was also put in charge of the Human Resources Department, along with other responsibilities. In her endeavors to improve herself, as well aid in the growth of Gulf World, she has served as a Board of Directors for the Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce and many other boards and committees for local organizations. Producing not only benefits to Gulf World, but to the community as well. Over the past 7 years her hard work and dedication has allowed for her personal and professional growth. During that time her performance has proven her capable to take on a greater role.

Secret Holmes-Douglas has been promoted to the Director of Animal Care and Training of Gulf World Marine Park. Secret started her career at Gulf World as an employee in the gift shop at the age of 15. From there, in her own pursuit for excellence, she had worked her way up to become a marine mammal trainer. During her career path she has worked at the Audubon Zoo and has been a member of IMATA for several years. For over 15 years Secret has been a vital asset to Gulf World as reflected in being placed in the managerial role of the marine mammal area for the past several years. Secret was recognized for her commitment to animal care in August of 2010 when she received a proclamation from the City of Panama City Beach. She was acknowledged for leading the stranding team as the primary de-oiling intake facility during the Deepwater Horizon spill incident, as the facility Stranding Coordinator.
