Chamber Board Tours Naval Support Activity Panama City

On December 10th the Panama City Beach Chamber Board of Directors and staff toured Naval Support Activity Panama City (NSA-PC) and its tenant commands, including Naval Diving and Salvage Training Center, Navy Experimental Diving Unit, and Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division’s Unmanned Systems Facility, Air Operations hangar, and Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) ramp. We took a quick windshield tour of a few of the recreational facilities. The tour lasted about three hours, followed by lunch at the Seashore General Mess, otherwise known as “the galley.” Commander Jessica Pfefferkorn, Commanding Officer of NSA-PC, hosted the group.

“It was a privilege to share some time with our partners on the Chamber Board and Staff, some of whom had never been aboard,” said Steven Applegate,
Public Affairs Officer. In the brief time they were aboard, the visitors received only a snapshot of the many missions and capabilities of the commands at NSA PC, but everyone gained a better appreciation of how their Navy neighbors contribute to the community as well as to the defense of our Nation.
