HealthSouth Emerald Coast Rehabilitation Center will unveil its new name and brand as part of its Company’s name change and rebranding initiative. Beginning Oct. 1, the inpatient rehabilitation hospital will be known as Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Panama City. To celebrate the new brand, a community open house will be held on Monday, Oct. 1 from 10-10:45 a.m. at the hospital, located at 1847 Florida Ave. in Panama City. The event is open to the community, former patients and friends of HealthSouth Emerald Coast. The brand unveiling event will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the covered front entrance of the hospital, with refreshments served afterward.

“Our new Encompass Health brand reflects more than the change of our name. It reinforces our commitment to working together to continuously improve the care we provide our patients,” said Tony Bennett, CEO of Encompass Health Panama City. “With a focus on clinical collaboration and strengthening relationships, we will continue to play an important role in making a difference in the lives of our patients.”

Birmingham, Alabama-based HealthSouth Corporation launched its new name and brand on Jan. 1, 2018 and will be transitioning its 128 inpatient rehabilitation hospitals and 272 home health and hospice locations serving 36 states and Puerto Rico through 2019. All of the Company’s post-acute care service locations in Florida will migrate to the Encompass Health name and branding on October 1.
