Panama City Beach Hosts Fifth Annual Beach Home for the Holidays

While Thanksgiving Thursday is traditionally time for turkey, Santa Claus visits Panama City Beach early every year to set the stage for the most magical month of the year during Beach Home for the Holidays. Now in its fifth year, families from near and far will return to the destination for a weekend of fun holiday celebrations at Aaron Bessant Park like carol-themed concerts, s’mores, nightly fireworks and the lighting of the destination’s 36-foot Christmas Tree. Affordable lodging rates for this special event are also available in a variety of categories ranging from condos to beach houses, making Panama City Beach an ideal destination for families to savor the season this November 29-30.

“We are excited to invite families back to Panama City Beach to create lasting memories this Thanksgiving weekend, whether for the first time or the fifth time,” shares President and CEO of Visit Panama City Beach Dan Rowe. “Families can expect all the same festive amenities, decorations and entertainment from previous years, along with a special performance from the famed Scotty McCreery.”

Award-winning American country music singer Scotty McCreery will take the stage at the Aaron Bessant Park open-air Amphitheater for the first time on Friday, playing some of his greatest hits like “I Love You This Big,” “The Trouble with Girls,” and “Five More Minutes”- the first song released without a record label to ever chart the Country Top 50. Guests can also sing along to songs from Scotty’s most recent album, “Seasons Change,” which became his fourth top 10 album in the U.S. On Saturday night, families will love listening to the live symphonic sounds of local favorite, the Panama City POPS Orchestra.

In between singing along to award-winning artists and saying hello to Mr. Claus, families shouldn’t miss a visit to Panama City Beach’s Décor by the Shore Trail to fulfill all their holiday shopping needs. The area’s vast network of shops and stores specializing in coastal-themed décor, antiques and gifts, guests are sure to find goodies for every member of the family to place under the tree.
