SkyWheel Panama City Beach to Host Local Radio DJ’s World Record Attempt

SkyWheel Panama City Beach to Host Local Radio DJ’s World Record Attempt

In just 12 days, the newest full entertainment venue in Pier Park will be the host for local radio host Jake “Paco” Navarro to attempt breaking the world record for Longest marathon on a fairground/theme park attraction. Jake “Paco” Navarro first contacted SkyWheel Panama City Beach upon their opening in September 2018. Unfortunately, the Panama City Beach area was hit with hurricane Michael in October and the planning for this attempt was put on hold. Now, 9 months later the time has come to “Get Paco on that wheel!” The event begins on June 12, 2019 at 11:00 AM. The current record is 52 hours and 3 minutes. Navarro is attempting to go 53 hours. The requirements for this record are intense, including no sleeping and only one 5-minute break every hour.
This attempt will raise money for the Gulf Coast Children’s Advocacy Center as well as Hurricane Michael Relief. A portion of SkyWheel sales during this time frame will be donated to both organizations. Guests can also purchase special “Paco Flights.” These flights will allow the guest to ride one on one with Paco, and all of the money will be donated to the Gulf Coast Children’s Advocacy.

Skypro Studios, a full-service production company, will be assisting in the documentation portion required by Guinness World Records, by filming the entire event.
