The Beach Chamber Circuit Magazine Wins Hermes Award

On Wednesday, May 4, winners were announced for The 2011 Hermes Creative Awards, an international competition for creative professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of marketing & communication programs, as well as print, visual and audio materials. The Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce received the prestigious Gold Hermes Award for The Circuit magazine in the category of Publication/Newsletter.

Hermes Creative Awards is an international competition for creative professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of traditional materials and programs, and emerging technologies. Entries come from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, PR firms, design shops, production companies, web based innovators and freelancers. Over 4,400 entries competed from throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe, and were evaluated on their quality, creativity and resourcefulness.
“I’m extremely proud of this achievement and recognition, for our entire Chamber,” said Chamber President & CEO Beth Oltman. “Marta Rose and the editorial team work hard to produce a top-notch publication for our members and for this community.”
The competition is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing & Communication Professionals (AMCP), which oversees awards and recognition programs and sets standards for excellence. The organization consists of several thousand marketing professionals from around the globe.
The AMCP began in 1995 as a means to honor outstanding achievement and service to the communication profession. As part of its mission, the Association fosters and supports the efforts of marketing professionals who contribute their unique talents to public service and charitable organizations. Each year, the efforts of these generous professionals are acknowledged through grants and special recognition.
