Panama City Beach Marathon
RACE UPDATE: Tuesday, September 1, 2020 – The Panama City Beach Chamber event organizers have worked for months to find a way to safely produce the PCB Marathon, scheduled for Saturday, December 5th. Unfortunately, we have had to make the difficult decision to not hold an in-person or virtual race and instead reschedule the event until 2021. This was not an easy decision to make, but due to the challenges of staging an event of this scale at this time and out of concern for the safety of event participants, volunteers, event staff and spectators we feel it is the best decision. We understand that this is a challenging time for everyone, and the cancellation will be disappointing news to many. In light of this decision, registered participants for the 2020 race will be deferred to our 2021 at no cost. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to giving the running community an opportunity to run through paradise alongside our award-winning beaches in December 2021! The race begins and ends in Pier Park, with an after party at Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville. All runners of the Marathon, Half-Marathon, and 5K will receive a race day shirt, and all finishers will receive a medal. The Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce was honored to award a $7,000 donation to Bay District Schools. These funds were raised from the 2018 Panama City Beach Marathon, Half Marathon and 5K. The support from our race participants helped Bay District Schools provide clothing and supplies to those who lost everything. A portion from the 2019 race will also be donated.
