Registrations are rolling in for the Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce’s 9th Annual Women’s Work-Life Symposium. Presented again by Emerald Coast Hospice, the date is set for Friday, May 18, at Florida State University Panama City’s Holley Academic Center. The event is scheduled from 7:30 AM until 3:30 PM with a cocktail hour provided by Ms. Newby’s to follow. Registration is available online at pcbeach.org for $80 through April 20. The price will then rise to $115, and $80 for students, teachers, and military.

At this leading women’s event on the Emerald Coast, over 300 women will have the opportunity to come together for a full day of networking, professional development, and personal growth opportunities. The day will feature powerful speakers addressing topics beneficial to help women maintain a healthy work-life balance. Attendees will hear two inspiring keynote speakers, and attend two breakout workshops of their choice.

Our first keynote speaker and Author of the book All Work & No Say, Jody Urquhart will kick off the event with her humorous yet motivating message, “This Would Be Funny…If It Wasn’t Happening to Me! How to Navigate the Future with Enthusiasm and Vigor.” Her motivational message will feature savvy and uplifting advice to help you develop a positive and meaningful perspective in the midst of stress and change.

Do you ever look at your closet full of clothes and think, “I have absolutely nothing to wear?” Not for long! Personal Stylist, Amy Giles with Wardrobe Made Simple will speak after lunch, with a light-hearted, informative message, “Take Back Your Closet, Take Back Your Life.” Her closet editing and organizing tips are eye opening, and she’ll discuss key pieces for the professional woman, and how to put it all together.

Our final keynote speaker Christine Hassler is known for catalyzing radical self-reflection while offering practical direction, and is dedicated to inspiring people to make the changes that lead to fulfillment. In her inspirational message, “Stay Sane in a Tech Obsessed, Hyper Competitive & Stressed Out Manic World,” the sense of overwhelm that many people struggle with becomes an opportunity to clarify what is truly important. Rather than feel the pressure to wear a mask of a multi-tasking superhero who is depleted and constantly stressed inwardly, she’ll encourage you to ditch the expectation of “doing it all.” Instead she teaches well researched personal development and communication strategies to empower audiences into “being your all.” Christine’s engaging style leaves the audience motivated and with tools they can implement to live less busy and more fulfilling lives.

The Symposium will also feature a variety of beneficial breakout workshops with an abundance of different takeaway tools for personal, professional, and home life. Each attendee will be able to choose two workshops.  Kelly Hutcheson will share her passion in conscious parenting, and help you see your children in their miraculous light! With social media being so important for your business, social media strategists Olivia and Miranda will discuss how to create a successful social media strategy, along with recommendations on how to spend your time and build your social media presence. Holly Gardner will present “We Can All Do Hard Things,” sharing researched-based strategy for overcoming whatever life throws at you. Melanie Hill’s workshop, “Leading the Four Generations at Work,” will help business professionals become aware of the differences of the different generations in the workplace. The final breakout workshop will be an artistic session, where attendees will create driftwood art with My Paint Party.

Attendees will enjoy a networking breakfast as well as a luncheon. New this year, mimosas will be served during breakfast. An exhibitor showcase where women will have the opportunity to shop at a variety of unique booths will be featured during the event breaks and continue throughout the event. The day-long event will conclude with an unwinding social hour on the water-front terrace with desserts, and Ms. Newby’s cocktails.

Each woman will also receive the much anticipated Women’s Symposium “swag bag” filled with premium items and a Symposium Journal with information on all speakers, the event, sponsors, and exhibitors. Door prizes and giveaways will be given throughout the day. Register today and treat yourself to an experience that you’ll leave feeling empowered, encouraged, and ready to take on the world!
