Six Local Leaders Recognized at Annual Awards Dinner

The Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce’s celebratory Annual Awards Dinner was a night of recognition as it honored six of their outstanding members. On Thursday, February 21, 2019, at Edgewater Beach & Golf Resort, the event was themed “A Coastal Affair, Celebrating our Community.” The Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce would like to thank the Presenting Sponsor, Noble Public Adjusting Group; the Premier Sponsor, Edgewater Beach & Golf Resort by Resort Collection; the Platinum Sponsors, Beachy Beach Real Estate, Booking.com, Royal American Hospitality; and the Photobooth Sponsor Peoples First Insurance.

This prestigious event recognized local citizens for their dedication and accomplishments in the community and with the Panama City Beach Chamber. These awards included the Community Impact Award, Humanitarian of the Year, Chamber Ambassador of the Year, Business Excellence Award, Young Professional of the Year, and a dedication to the Chamber’s 2018 Chairman.

The Past Chairman’s Award was given to 2018 Chairman of the Board, Dave Trepanier of Firefly and PCB Entertainment, for his dedicated service and commitment to leading the Beach Chamber.

This year’s Young Professional of the Year Award went to the Vice President of the Bay Economic Development Alliance, Garrett Wright. Garrett is a young professional who influences growth, prosperity and quality of life in our community.  .

This year’s Ambassador of the Year Award winner, Mark Yates of Mr. Rooter Plumbing of NWFL. Whether it be attending ribbon cuttings and grand openings, he goes above and beyond for the Chamber. He is not only a great asset to the Chamber, but also equally valuable to the community.

Paul and Helen Schreiner of Texas Roadhouse won the Business Excellence Award for their contributions to our community and to the Beach Chamber.

Our Humanitarian of the Year award was given to the Executive Director of Girls Inc., Niki Kelly, for her generosity and commitment to helping children in our community.

This year’s Community Impact Award was given to Karen Smith of Beachy Beach Real Estate, whose generosity inspires positive change within our community.
